Hanshin Tigers

Hanshin Tigers is a professional baseball team in Japan, belonging to Central League of NPB; Nippon Professional Baseball. The home stadium is Hanshin Koshien stadium in Nishinomiya, Hyogo prefecture.


Located between Osaka and Kobe, Tigers are one of the two NPB teams located in Greater Osaka-Kyoto-Kobe metropolitan area.


Tigers is one of the popular teams of NPB, which has a long history and known as the fans are loyal and very active.


It has won the Central League title several times but won the NPB championship, Nippon Series only once in 1985.


Current team manager is Akihiro Yano, former catcher who won the CL title for Tigers in 2003 and 2005. At this moment, Tigers is leading the CL with 22 wins -9 loses-1 draw.
